Tua Tagovailoa had something of a breakout season in 2022 for the Miami Dolphins, but he suffered multiple concussions, which put quite a damper on his year.

After his latest concussion, he spent several weeks in the NFL’s concussion protocol, and many fans and observers urged him to seriously consider retirement simply for the sake of his long-term health and well-being.

But there is no indication the stud quarterback will even contemplate doing so.

In fact, he is working with an Olympic athlete to learn how to fall in a way that will reduce impacts on his head and therefore reduce his risk of brain trauma.

The issue of concussions, chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), and other types of brain trauma has been a serious topic of concern for the NFL and football in general in recent years, and it has led more and more people to not let their kids play the sport.

As of now, there is no type of helmet technology that can disperse the impact a player sustains when he either falls or is involved in a collision that involves his head.

But if Tagovailoa can avoid concussions moving forward, or at least a serious one, he can make the Dolphins into a serious Super Bowl contender.

When he was healthy in 2022, they looked explosive at times on offense, as he helped wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle log 1,710 and 1,356 receiving yards, respectively.

With Tagovailoa in the lineup, Miami was a solid 8-5, but without him, it just 1-3.

Everyone is hoping for the best when it comes to the University of Alabama product moving forward and that he remains healthy for the rest of his career.
