Russell Wilson’s first season with the Denver Broncos definitely didn’t go as planned.
He was a shell of himself, holding the team back and struggling every time he stepped foot on the grid.
As terrible as he looked in his freshman year at Mile High, though, we can’t ignore all he’s accomplished since entering the league.
That’s why former defensive back Chris Canty believes there’s no question Wilson has already done more than enough to be considered a future Hall of Famer.

Canty noted that since Wilson entered the league, he is third in touchdown passes behind Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and second in wins behind Brady.
And while wins aren’t a QB stat, he still has to be credited for that 9-7 playoff record, as well as the fact that he’s made the playoffs in eight of 11 seasons.
There’s no denying that Wilson is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks of all time and one of the best in the league for more than the last decade.
Even if he “only” has one Super Bowl ring to show for it, and regardless of never winning an MVP, there’s no denying his impact on winning.
But if anyone can turn the corner and get back on his winning ways, it’s Russell Wilson, especially with a veteran coach like Sean Payton now taking over the team.
