The Las Vegas Raiders didn’t hesitate to sign Jimmy Garoppolo, but maybe they shouldn’t have rushed that much.

Garoppolo could see his contract being voided—including his signing bonus—after a new foot injury surfaced, leaving the Raiders without a clear option at QB1.

With that in mind, Tom Brady’s name has once again been floated around as a potential candidate, and as crazy as it may seem, NFL legend Troy Aikman wouldn’t rule that possibility out.

In a recent interview with TMZ, the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback said that Brady has always kept himself in great shape, not to mention his close relationship with Josh McDaniels, who used to be his offensive coordinator during their time with the New England Patriots.

Brady walked away from the game shortly after the end of the season, and he’s getting ready to pursue a new career as an analyst for FOX, starting in 2024.

He was also reportedly set to buy a minority stake in the Raiders, which obviously only adds more fuel to this rumor.

There’s no denying that Brady looked like someone who could still play for an extra couple of years, and he’d be a huge, massive, gigantic upgrade over the likes of Garoppolo, let alone Brian Hoyer.

Then again, as much sense as this idea might make, the Raiders are the worst team in their division and don’t have a lot of weapons besides Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams, so it may not be an ideal situation for a legend looking to close out his career on a high note.
