Being a Houston Texans fan must be one of the toughest experiences in sports nowadays.
The team hasn’t always been managed properly, and they’ve had a tough time establishing themselves as contenders.
Of course, finding success as a “young” NFL franchise is never easy, but it always seems like they’re one step behind their competitors and going through never-ending rebuilding processes.
To put their woes in context, B/R Gridiron pointed out a somewhat hilarious but still quite sad fact about the organization.
UConn really has the same number of playoff wins as the Texans in their own building 💀 (via r/nfl) pic.twitter.com/rq24KPNppA

Per the post, the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team now has as many playoff wins (4) at NRG Stadium as the Houston Texans as a franchise.
The Texans have only won four playoff games at home since their inception in 2002, with their last win coming in 2019 in the AFC Wild Card round versus the Buffalo Bills.
They were on the verge of becoming a driving force in the AFC with Deshaun Watson at the helm, but some questionable transactions and trades eventually forced the Clemson product off the team.
Now, the Texans expect former defensive star DeMeco Ryans to lead the way in a new era, and they’ll have a budding star in either Bryce Young or CJ Stroud to lead the way going forward.
For the first time in years, there are legitimate reasons to be optimistic and looking forward to the season for Texans fans, and this could be the first step to finally put an end to their lifelong woes when it comes to postseason football.
