The Las Vegas Raiders have found their new starting quarterback.

Most knew that after the release of Derek Carr, the Raiders would be in the market for a new signal caller.

Well, the next quarterback of the Raiders will be former San Francisco 49ers starter Jimmy Garoppolo.

According to Mike Garafolo, the Raiders and Garoppolo have officially agreed to terms on a deal.

Garoppolo as a part of the Raiders seems like a natural fit.

His former offensive coordinator in New England, Josh McDaniels, is the head coach in Las Vegas.

So there is familiarity in the offensive scheme.

Also, the Raiders have plenty of good weapons for Garoppolo to get the ball to.

The most prominent is Davante Adams, who is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

Las Vegas also has Josh Jacobs, Hunter Renfrow, and the newly signed Jakobi Meyers.

It will be all on Garoppolo to get the ball to these very good playmakers.

The issue for the Raiders is that they play in the toughest division in football.

Having to face the Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos two times a year is no easy task.

Plus, Garoppolo is at best the third quarterback in that division.

It will be tough for the Raiders to beat some of the top teams in the AFC even with him.

Jimmy G has more playoff experience than Carr, but he is not substantially better.

It will come down to the Raiders playing good defense, and slowing down their opponents to give a Garoppolo-led offense a chance.

Las Vegas maybe should have looked at making a bigger move at the position.

With Garoppolo under center, Las Vegas might not be much better than we saw in previous years.
