The Dallas Cowboys have been very aggressive in free agency this offseason.

For the first time in a while, they have made two impact trades during the free agency period.

The first was acquiring cornerback Stephon Gilmore from the Indianapolis Colts.

The second was by addressing their most pressing need, wide receiver.

Dallas traded for Brandin Cooks from the Houston Texans, and he fills a desperate need of theirs.

But, even after those two trades, the Cowboys are not done improving their roster.

The Cowboys wanted to add some offensive line depth.

According to Todd Archer, the Cowboys agreed to a one-year deal with Chuma Edoga.

Edoga will come to the Cowboys as a nice depth piece.

He will not be competing for a starting job, but the fact that he can play guard and tackle is huge.

His position flexibility will keep him on the roster and make him one of the key backups.

Now the Cowboys can do what they want come draft time.

Before this move, the offensive line seemed like a spot they could look at in the first round.

While that may still be the case, it is less of a pressing need.

This has been a very good offseason so far for the Cowboys, and a strong draft class can only help their 2023 odds.

Playing in the NFC should give the Cowboys confidence that they can make a deep run.

It will be interesting to see what other moves they made this offseason.

But, it is quite clear that they will be much improved heading into 2023.
