The NFL came out with a list of players that benefited from performance-based pay.
It is always nice to see players get extra compensation for the work they do on the field.
One player, in particular, should be mentioned for the performance-based pay he received.
That is Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.
According to Mike Garafolo, Hamlin received $652,470 in performance-based pay.
Damar Hamlin comes in at No. 21 with $652,470 in performance based pay added to his $834,145 in salary and bonus. With 13 starts in 15 games played, Hamlin takes home almost $1.5 million in total compensation for 2022. https://t.co/jOx7pHo7oE

Hamlin started 13 of the 15 games he played last season.
For a sixth-round pick, Hamlin hasn’t done too badly for himself.
Also, Hamlin has stated that he would like to play football again.
He might even be able to take the field at some point next season.
Hamlin is one of the best stories in the NFL and easy to root for.
Some of the other players on the list include former Philadelphia Eagles safety Marcus Epps.
Last season, Epps started all 17 games that he played, and was a big part of the NFC champions.
Also on the list, you will see one of the breakout rookies in the league, Tariq Woolen.
He was a fifth-round pick in the 2022 draft, and he finished third for Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Every player but one on the list was drafted in the third round or later.
So even though they may not make the most in salary, the performance-based pay helps them out greatly.
You can even expect a few of these players to hit it big in free agency.
Epps already signed a big contract with the Raiders, and many other players will be in waiting.
