The Jacksonville Jaguars got some great news today.
That is that the NFL has fully reinstated wide receiver, Calvin Ridley.
Ridley was suspended all of last season for violating the league’s gambling policy.
But now he is back and on a new team from when we last saw him.
Ridley was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars last season, in a deal that is looking like a steal.
The newest Jaguar released a statement after hearing about his reinstatement.
Jaguars got Ridley for a steal if he comes back anywhere near what he was.

The Jags gave up only a second and fifth-round pick for the former all-pro.
There is no question it will be nice to see Ridley back on the field.
The last time we saw him for a full season was in 2020 when he had a fantastic year.
He caught 90 passes for 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns.
Ridley realizes he’s screwed up by betting on games, and he can’t make that mistake again.
But, on the field, it will be interesting to see how well he plays after a year and a half off.
I hope he gets back to who he was but players who are out of the game for a year or more don’t have a good track record of doing that

Even though the Jaguars came out of nowhere last season, they will not surprise anyone in 2023.
The AFC should recognize them as legitimate contenders, and one of the more high-powered offenses.
Also, the AFC South will seemingly run through Jacksonville for the foreseeable future.
The AFC South is the Jags division now

Head coach Doug Pederson has turned this team around in one season.
His work with quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been especially impressive.
Keep an eye on the Jaguars in 2023.
