Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is all but set to become a member of the New York Jets next season.
Rodgers has expressed his desire to join the Jets, and the two teams simply have to come to terms on a trade, which may not be easy.
If and when he heads to New York, he will be joining a team that has some very intriguing young talent, including wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
NFL analyst Mike Greenberg made a bold proclamation by saying on the Pat McAfee Show that Rodgers will help Wilson put up the type of numbers that Davante Adams posted while in Green Bay.
“I predict that Garrett Wilson will put up Davante Adams numbers with Aaron Rodgers”

Wilson had a banner rookie year in 2022 with 1,103 yards and four touchdowns, and it was good enough for him to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
He was able to put up those numbers despite playing with four different subpar quarterbacks over the course of the season.
Of course, one question surrounding the 39-year-old Rodgers is what type of level he will play at in 2023.
After winning the league MVP in 2020 and 2021, his production dipped this past season to 3,695 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns and a 91.1 passer rating.
Did his numbers drop because of cumulative wear and tear, or was it simply because Adams was traded last offseason to the Las Vegas Raiders?
In 2021, Adams’ last season with Rodgers, he had 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns.
One advantage Rodgers would have in New York, which Greenberg also pointed out, is one of the NFL’s best defenses, which was headlined by All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner, who won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
That defense will surely take plenty of pressure off him to be magnificent each week.
