During his 12 seasons in the NFL, Joe Haden was one of the league’s best cornerbacks for the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, and his skills earned him three trips to the Pro Bowl and one All-Pro selection.

He’s faced plenty of talented and skilled wide receivers over the years, and on a recent episode of the podcast “I Am Athlete,” he mentioned the five best wideouts he went up against over the years.

Antonio Brown was one of the NFL’s very best receivers until he started to become better known for his antics than his play a few years ago, and after being guarded by Haden every time his Steelers took on the Browns, he got to play with Haden in Pittsburgh in 2017 and 2018.

Calvin Johnson, nicknamed “Megatron” because of his huge hands, was a very impressive physical specimen at 6-foot-5 and 237 pounds, which meant the 5-foot-11 Haden has his hands full whenever he was assigned to cover the Detroit Lions great.

Julio Jones killed many teams with his speed during his prime, especially when his Atlanta Falcons reached the Super Bowl following the 2016 season.

The same was true of Odell Beckham Jr., especially before his two ACL tears over the past 18 months.

Larry Fitzgerald played 17 seasons for the Arizona Cardinals, and in the 2008 season, he got them very close to a Super Bowl championship, only to lose in heartbreaking fashion on a late touchdown by the Steelers’ Santonio Holmes.

Haden decided to call it quits early last season, and now he will wait to see if he has a shot at getting into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
