Last night at the NFL Honors ceremony, Patrick Mahomes took home his second league MVP award.

Despite only being in the league for six seasons, Mahomes has made quite the impact on the Kansas City Chiefs.

His second MVP award was added to the laundry list of accomplishments that he has achieved thus far.

Mahomes joins just 10 other players to have two or more league MVPs.

He has a long way to go to catch the all-time leader, as Peyton Manning was able to win amass five separate MVP awards.

Mahomes’ accolades go far beyond winning league MVP twice, however.

This year, he led the league in total yardage, with 5,614, which was a combination of his passing and rushing yards.

He is also a three-time All-Pro, and a five-time member of the Pro Bowl, and has led the league in touchdown passes in two separate seasons.

Mahomes has been dubbed by many as the greatest current quarterback in the league, and the only player who can catch Tom Brady’s records.

For now, Mahomes and the Chiefs don’t have his legacy in mind, as their primary focus is on winning the Super Bowl on Sunday.

They will certainly have their work cut out for them, considering the strength of the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense and defense.

Even though it’s not likely in the forefront, a win in this game could mean a lot to Mahomes’ legacy, leaving him as one of the youngest players in NFL history to win two Super Bowls.
