The Denver Broncos are expected to be one of the most improved teams in the NFL next season.
After an abysmal year that saw them finish 5-12, it is hard to imagine the Broncos being that bad again.
For one, they added an experienced head coach in Sean Payton.
He is an offensive guru and the Broncos’ biggest issue last season was their offense.
Denver was last in the NFL in points per game, and Russell Wilson had the worst season of his career.
For Wilson to reach maximum potential next season he will need good weapons to throw to.
Unfortunately, the Broncos just lost one of their wide receivers for the next few months.
Former second-round draft pick KJ Hamler injured himself in offseason workouts.
According to Tom Pelissero, it is a partially torn sin for Hamler that will force him out for the next few months.
#Broncos WR KJ Hamler recently underwent surgery after suffering a partially torn pec while training on his own, per sources. The recovery timeline is four to six months, giving Hamler a chance to be ready right around the start of training camp in late July. pic.twitter.com/EFA9hL4Pu6

Anytime a player gets hurt working out on their own is a cause for concern.
But, that is especially the case for an often-injured player like Hamler.
In his first three NFL seasons, Hamler has played a total of 23 games.
He can’t seem to get on the field consistently.
This is once again a major setback for the 23-year-old, but he is expected to be back in time for training camp.
With the Broncos seemingly shopping for Jerry Jeudy, they were probably hoping for an increased role for Hamler this year.
It just seems like until he proves he can stay healthy, Hamler might never reach his full potential.
