Xander Bogaerts was one of many key additions this offseason for the San Diego Padres.
The team plucked him away from the Boston Red Sox by giving him an 11-year, $280 million contract.
And so, with pitchers and catchers reporting to spring training today, fans will get a chance to see some of their team’s new stars in action soon.
Bogaerts has arrived to camp early and is ready to go for 2023.
On Twitter, the Padres posted a photo of Bogaerts in his Padres threads for the first time, as well as a video of him taking batting practice in his new uniform.

Look away, Red Sox fans.
Bogaerts is sporting his new uniform for the first time and is ready to be a Father for the next decade.
The Padres already have Manny Machado, Juan Soto, Matt Carpenter, Nelson Cruz, and Jake Cronenworth.
They’ll also be getting Fernando Tatis Jr. back for in late April, as he serves the remainder of his 80-game PED suspension.
With Bogaerts in the mix, the Padres are a force to be reckoned with.
The team won 89 games last season and captured the second NL Wild Card spot, reaching the NLCS.
And they did all that without Tatis and before they had signed Bogaerts.
Now, the Padres look to be the clear favorites in the NL West, especially after eliminating the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS last season.
Parent fans will enjoy the sight of Bogaerts in their uniform.
Red Sox fans, on the other hand, will likely cringe.
