Super Bowl Sunday was a special day for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

While the star quarterback wasn’t playing in the Super Bowl, he won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.

However, the crowd in Arizona booed him, despite winning an award for his community service.

While the crowd wasn’t behind Prescott, one user on Twitter points out why he was getting those boos.

With fans of the Eagles rolling deep in Arizona, no one was giving any love to the Cowboys quarterback.

Another Twitter user points out how the boos are consistent with how the fan base feels about their NFC East rival.

According to Matt Sain on Twitter, it’s “in their blood” to boo anyone from the Cowboys.

While the fans were booing him for being a member of the Cowboys, someone points out how fans of the Cowboys will do the same had the roles been reversed.

However, not everyone let those fans get a pass for booing Prescott.

For Scott Stevenson on Twitter, he finds the boos as something disrespectful to Walter Payton.

While most of the reactions were people explaining why Prescott got those boos, others felt the boos were uncalled for.

To people like them, they felt it was a moment to honor the Cowboys quarterback for his work outside of football.

They don’t see the booing as something good, unlike one user that feels the boos were a sign of respect.

While fans let their voices be heard, it was Prescott walking away with a high honor for his work in the community.
