The Chicago White Sox are one of MLB’s most historically relevant franchises.
They have been around for a long time, but haven’t won a World Series title since 2005.
After a couple of competitive years in 2020 and 2021, they regressed to an 81-81 record this past year.
They entered a crucial offseason with many things to improve, but only brought in outfielder Andrew Benintendi, pitcher Mike Clevinger, and infielder Elvis Andrus.
This happened as they saw the Minnesota Twins sign Carlos Correa and trade for Pablo Lopez, not to mention the Cleveland Guardians adding sluggers Josh Bell and Mike Zunino.
A new manager, Pedro Grifol, is in town, but fans feel the organization didn’t do enough to make the White Sox a competitive squad.
They are fed up, and they are expressing their frustration and they are doing it in a creative way.

In case you didn’t notice, that’s the same “S” in the White Sox logo.
Fans want owner Jerry Reinsdorf to sell the team.
The funny thing is that in the replies to the tweet above, Pittsburgh Pirates, Oakland Athletics, and Los Angeles Angels fans said their fans should start a similar initiative.
Fan bases such as the Cincinnati Reds, the Colorado Rockies, or the Washington Nationals have also grown to be disgruntled in recent years.
The White Sox still have talented players – Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert, and Yoan Moncada say hi, not to mention rotation stalwarts Dylan Cease, Lance Lynn and Lucas Giolito – but they just don’t look as strong as the Guards and Twins.
Will 2023 be another lost year?
