Tim Anderson certainly didn’t enjoy sitting out for much of the 2022 season.
He also wasn’t pleased with the fact that his Chicago White Sox did not reach the postseason after two consecutive appearances in October.
The White Sox won just 81 games and finished in a distant second place behind the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central, 11 games out of first.
Anderson recently spoke to White Sox insider Chuck Garfien and discussed what needs to happen in order for the White Sox to contend this year.
He also did not hold back when discussing the team’s failures in 2022 and what ultimately cost them a spot in the postseason.

Anderson even went as far as to say that he felt as if the White Sox were not all pulling in the same direction last season.
The former batting champion believes there was dysfunction in the clubhouse and throughout the organization.
He also criticized media members for digging into players who were struggling.
This is certainly a bold strategy by Anderson.
The star shortstop has never been afraid to speak his mind, but things got quite candid in this interview when he discussed what went wrong for the White Sox last year.
He went on to say that he wants to make sure that the players and the organization are all in support of each other as they grind through a 162-game season.
The White Sox made a few key moves this winter, signing starter Mike Clevinger to a one-year deal and also bringing in Andrew Benintendi.
