The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the midst of a transition period, with the team still trying to figure out how to become a force to be reckoned with in the post-Ben Roethlisberger era.
Fortunately, the team may have found Roethlisberger’s successor in the form of quarterback Kenny Pickett, as he showed some promise during his rookie campaign with the team last season.
Obviously, the Steelers have plenty of other areas of need to address before the 2023 NFL season gets underway in September.
Although the team’s primary focus right now is the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft, which takes place on April 27, Pittsburgh did make a move recently to bring in punter Braden Mann, according to ESPN’s Field Yates, after he was released by the New York Jets.

Clearly, this isn’t a massive move by the Steelers, as punters can be interchangeable in the NFL.
Mann spent his entire NFL career with the Jets before being picked up by the Steelers, with the 25-year-old punter being selected in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by New York.
With draft day about two weeks away, teams around the league are making minor moves in anticipation of bringing in a new crop of rookie players with their draft picks.
The Steelers will do their due diligence on draft prospects ahead of April 27, with the team hoping to bring in some game-changing players that can help them get back to form as a dominant force in the AFC next season and for the foreseeable future.
