For many NFL fans, the Super Bowl is a bittersweet day.
Yes, it is filled with fanfare, great food, and this year, a spectacular game, but it is greeted with a harsh reality as well.
There will be no more competitive NFL football until September when the regular season kicks off.
Fortunately, this year, the wait for competitive football is less than a week.
.@TheRock is looking forward to even more football 💪

The XFL will kick off on Saturday, which is owned by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
The XFL consists of eight teams and has a ten-week regular season, followed by playoffs.
While the XFL doesn’t exactly have the competitive luster of the NFL, it is football, at least.
The good news for NFL fans is that the XFL consists of many former NFL players.
For some, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase their skills in a football game, in hopes of making it back to the NFL.
For others, this is a chance to get a paycheck for playing the sport that they have loved for their entire lives.
Whatever their motivation, the XFL will kick off on Saturday.
There are two games on Saturday, and two games on Sunday.
Check your local listings for times and the network that these games will be played on, as each game is different.
The XFL meets a need for some NFL fans, especially those who aren’t fans of the NBA, NHL, or MLB.
If you’re an NFL purist, the league doesn’t kick off for another 205 days.
But who’s counting?
