The Tampa Bay Rays are immaculate and unbeatable.
They have been playing at a really high level, and even though the quality of competition hasn’t been the strongest, there is a lot of merit on going out there every day and beating every team that crosses their path.
A 13-0 record is not only impressive, but it has helped them get a strong hold on the AL East’s top spot and maintain a five-game cushion over the closest rivals, the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees.
The best news is that the Rays’ winning streak and unique, data-driven approach to baseball operations have resulted in record viewership levels.
When the Rays draw that much interest, it always needs to be taken as good news.

That’s incredible news for a franchise that has struggled to become popular despite being very, very good at baseball.
Fortunately, viewership levels are healthier than ever at the moment.
As it turns out, attendance numbers are also slightly up in comparison to last year.
In 2022, the Rays averaged 13,927 people per home game, good for 28th in MLB (out of 30 teams).
This year, they are at 17,210 fans per home game and have climbed to 26th.
That’s important growth.
They are even drawing considerable crowds in afternoon, weekday games.
The Rays just announced attendance at Tropicana Field as 21,175 for a Thursday afternoon day game at 1:10 ET.

Hopefully, the Rays can keep winning games and drawing large crowds to home games.
It would be great for baseball.
