With future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers on board, the New York Jets have Super Bowl aspirations for the upcoming NFL season.
Such aspirations have been extremely hard to come by for the Jets for many decades, as they haven’t won it all since taking Super Bowl III, and they have seldom made it past the divisional round ever since.
In fact, ever since the AFL-NFL merger, they’re last in division titles won with just two.

The last time New York was any good as a team was the 2010 season when they finished 11-5 and made it to the AFC Championship Game, where they fell, 24-19, to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It was their second straight appearance in the conference title game, but only the fourth time they had made it that far since Joe Namath brought home their only world championship.
But now, the Jets will be one of a number of teams in the AFC that feel they have a real shot at getting to the big game next February, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
In addition to Rodgers, they have a few other former Green Bay Packers, including wide receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
New York also has a very strong defense that was fourth in points and total yards allowed in 2022.
The AFC should be extremely competitive, and they are hardly the favorites to win the conference, but if Rodgers feels re-energized and bounces back after a subpar 2022 campaign, anything is possible for them.
