The Indianapolis Colts’ search for a new head coach was laborious, to say the least.
They had over ten candidates for this position, as they wanted to make sure they made the right decision with their newest hire.
Shane Steichen has been well-received, evidenced by the video that the Colts’ media team released.

Steichen is only 37 years old, but he has over ten years of NFL coaching experience.
His players, the organization as a whole, and Colts fans have shown initial excitement regarding this hire, which looks to continue during the rest of the offseason.
The Colts finished the 2022 regular season with a record of 4-12-1, which was second-worst in the AFC South.
Their defense allowed the fifth-most points per game, and their offense was tied for the second-lowest in total points scored.
With the addition of Steichen, the team is in an excellent spot moving forward, given his track record within his prior experiences.
He was instrumental in the development of Jalen Hurts, which was a big reason that the Eagles were able to make a deep playoff run this season.
Can the Colts win the division in the first year under Steichen?
They have not won the AFC South since 2014 and will be on a mission to end that drought.
Luckily for the Colts, the Jacksonville Jaguars won the division with a 9-8 record this season, leaving the door wide open for Steichen and the Colts.
With any luck, the players will continue to respond well to Steichen, growing in camaraderie and trusting in his leadership.
