The Kansas City Chiefs need to be at their best come Super Bowl Sunday.
Especially, facing a tough Philadelphia Eagles offense that will put plenty of pressure on Kansas City’s defense.
Unfortunately, there are a few Chiefs players that are battling an illness this week.
Their best defensive player, defensive tackle Chris Jones, has a sore throat and congestion.

Jones will have to be one of the most impactful players on Sunday if the Chiefs are going to win.
He had 15.5 sacks this season and will cause the Eagles’ offense some problems.
It remains to be what other players are battling an illness for KC.
But, seeing this is far less than ideal.
Assuming both teams are healthy come Sunday, this game has a chance to be very competitive.
The Eagles will enter will a strong rushing attack, while the Chiefs are a pass-heavy team.
The aforementioned Chris Jones will have to be the main disruptor to the Eagles’ rushing attack.
Slowing down the run and forcing the Eagles to throw the ball 30+ times is the winning formula for KC.
The Chiefs must be ready to slow down the read option, and run-pass options.
On the other side of the ball, the KC offense will have to be carried by Patrick Mahomes.
Trying to run against the Eagles’ stout defensive line is trouble for the Chiefs.
This game is a clash between teams with two different identities.
All we need is for the Chiefs to be healthy come Sunday and this game will be a good one.
