The Cavaliers want to face Brooklyn in the playoffs

With the NBA playoffs just around the corner, teams from both conferences are starting to get a better idea of who they might face in the first round of title playoffs.

if the normal season concluded today, the Cleveland Cavaliers, located in the fourth position in the East, would face the fifth-ranked New York Knicks in the initial round. However, information from journalist Chris Fedor contemplates that several members of the Ohio franchise are waiting, in private, for a confrontation with the Brooklyn Nets.

Obviously, this position will never be shared publicly, but several Cavs executives believe that facing the Nets is an easier scenario to reach the Conference Semifinals than doing it against their neighbors, the Knicks, a bone, a priori, harder to crack. .

In any case, it is not entirely easy for this tie to take place in the first round. Four games separate the Cavaliers from the Philadelphia 76ers, third in the Eastern Conference. For their part, the Knicks lead the Nets by a game and a half in fifth place. Thus, those from Ohio depend on third teams to achieve the dream series.

Interestingly, the Cavaliers will play two games next week against the Nets. It will be interesting to see how JB Bickerstaff’s men approach both games, considering the fact that they could benefit directly from any wins the Nets have until the end of the season.
