The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially released a veteran offensive player.
Back in 2014, tight end Cameron Brate joined the Buccaneers.
He has been a part of their team ever since.
Brate played the last nine seasons in Tampa Bay and played a role on their 2020 Super Bowl-winning team.
Yet, his time as a Buccaneer has come to an end.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Bucs have officially released Brate.

Tampa Bay was set to move in a different direction at tight end.
In most spots, the Bucs are undergoing a total overhaul of their offensive roster.
They will have a new quarterback, running back, offensive tackle, and tight end next year.
Taking over for Brate at tight end will be second-year player Cade Otton.
He played a limited role in his first season, but big things are expected from him in 2023.
Not much is going to be expected from the Bucs next year, so they can fly under the radar.
Yet, playing in the NFC South, they still have a chance to compete for a division title.
The division is poor, mostly because the quarterback play is weak.
If the Bucs can get anything from Baker Mayfield next year, they have a chance to repeat as division champions.
Going from Brady from Mayfield will be a wake-up call for Tampa Bay.
But, if the rest of their roster can step up, they have a chance to at least compete in 2023.
