It didn’t take long for Stephen A. Smith to disqualify one NFL quarterback from the race for MVP.
While the season is barely past the halfway mark, Smith already thinks one quarterback no longer has a chance.
Smith, who’s known for his critical takes, is seeing something that very few other analysts are seeing.
So which NFL quarterback is Smith now saying is out in the NFL MVP race?

He went further by saying, “he’s not even a part of it” when referring to the MVP race.
His case for disqualifying Allen is his 6-3 record.
Smith notes how Allen was directly at fault for those three losses.
With his interceptions in the losses to the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets, he cost his team the win.
While those turnovers changed the outcome of those games, he also talks about him not showing up against the Miami Dolphins.
However, he doesn’t completely discard Allen, as he still believes he’s “an absolute stud.”
But his mistakes are leading him to be “suspect” about Allen this season as an MVP candidate.
While fans of the Bills might still believe Allen is still in the MVP race, Smith is seeing the issues coming from his play recently.
The interceptions are becoming a problem, as he has six interceptions in his last three games.
If Allen continues to make these costly mistakes, it won’t be just an MVP race that he’ll lose.
