Should Zach Wilson Be Labeled As A Bust For The Jets?

Zach Wilson is getting a lot of heat with his recent performance with the New York Jets.

With the second-year quarterback passing for zero touchdowns and 77 passing yards, he’s not living up to his 2021 hype.

While his 2022 season is going in the wrong direction, does it make him a bust for the Jets?

Wilson Has Lost The Confidence Of The Jets Leadership

In a late morning tweet from Adam Schefter, he reports how the Jets are benching Wilson for their next game.

With him losing two games to the New England Patriots, the leadership of the Jets had enough.

However, it wasn’t just those losses that got him yanked from his starting role.

It’s been his consistent lack of production getting him in trouble.

Wilson Has Horrible Numbers In 2022

In four of his seven games, he hasn’t thrown a touchdown.

He’s also had three games with a completion percentage of 50% or lower.

With most of his games also seeing him pass for low numbers, it’s hard to keep him in as quarterback.

While some quarterbacks struggle, it seems he’s struggling the most.

However, his struggles come from when he’s under pressure, something he can’t handle.

With Wilson unable to deal with pressure, it makes it easy for defenses to plan against him.

While he can fix this problem, it’s been around since his college days.

Had the Jets coaching worked with him last season in this area, maybe he’d be doing better.

However, with them ignoring his issues, they are slowly turning him into a bust with their team.
