This morning, the Baltimore Ravens concluded their search for an offensive coordinator.

Todd Monken will take over as their play caller after winning two straight championships at the University of Georgia.

He enters the organization with an impressive 30-plus year coaching tenure, both within collegiate football and the NFL.

After the hiring, head coach John Harbaugh commented on the organization’s process of hiring Monken.

The Ravens interviewed 14 different people for this offensive coordinator position.

During this coaching cycle, the Ravens waited to make a hiring decision until they were certain they had the right person for the job.

Leading Lamar Jackson and the rest of the Ravens’ offense is a tall task, as it is a different style of offense than many coaches are used to.

When Monken was at the University of Georgia, he worked with Stetson Bennett at quarterback.

Bennett is far less mobile than Jackson and is much more of a pocket-passer.

Will Jackson have to adapt to Monken’s style of offense, or will Monken adapt to Jackson’s style?

Jackson is one of, if not the most athletic quarterback in the NFL.

His abilities to scramble and rush for first downs, paired with excellent passing prowess, make him an incredibly unique player.

Only Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts come close to comparing to Jackson’s athletic abilities, and Justin Fields is on his way as well.

Monken will have his work cut out for him during his first season in Baltimore.

Will he be able to lead this team to a deep postseason run?
