The Baltimore Ravens are poised to enter the 2023 NFL season with new expectations, especially with a new offense.
Todd Monken is the Ravens’ new offensive coordinator, which likely indicates that the team’s passing volume will increase significantly.
As a likely result of their new OC, the team has made significant investments in the wide receiver position this offseason.
They used first-round capital on Zay Flowers and also signed Odell Beckham Jr to a one-year deal.
The team recently shared a clip of Beckham making a one-handed catch from minicamp, a move that was praised by his teammates.
However, assistant wide receivers coach Keith Williams was quick to stop other players from attempting this, saying, “I like that kind of thing, just from him!”
“I like that kind of stuff…only from him!”

Beckham, of course, is famous for throwing a one-handed extended grab for a touchdown when he was a part of the New York Giants.
He has eight years of NFL experience and knows what it takes to be successful as a receiver in this league.
While a catch like this is certainly impressive, it could send the wrong message to his teammates, many of whom have limited NFL experience.
This was probably why Williams was quick to make this comment to young catchers, letting them know they should focus on fundamentals.
The Ravens hope to make a splash in the AFC North, which has been dominated by the Cincinnati Bengals for the past two seasons.
Will their recent offensive additions be enough to help them compete?
