Rams Get Fans Hyped For A Star Player’s Return

The Los Angeles Rams are considerably weaker, at least on paper, than they were when they won the Super Bowl during the 2021 season, especially on defense.

They traded away veteran star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to the Miami Dolphins and lost linebacker Bobby Wagner to the Seattle Seahawks, but they still do have their biggest weapon on offense.

Wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro First-Team honors in 2021, was one of a number of Rams players who missed lots of time last season due to injury.

He was limited to nine games because of a high ankle sprain that required surgery, but he is back for the 2023 season, and the Rams posted a video on Twitter to get their fans hyped.

In 2021, he had a season for the ages, as he put up 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns, leading the NFL in both categories.

He also earned the Offensive Player of the Year award and the MVP of Super Bowl LVI that season, capping an incredible stretch for him.

Prior to 2021, Kupp had never been named to the Pro Bowl, and he had topped 1,000 receiving yards just once since he entered the league in 2017.

With Kupp, fellow wide receiver Van Jefferson, and quarterback Matthew Stafford all returning from key injuries, the Rams are hoping to return to the playoffs and, at a minimum, regain their dignity.

Many people are counting them out, but in an NFC that lacks depth, perhaps another dominant season from Kupp would be enough to get Los Angeles back into the postseason.
