Not everything is bad news for the New Orleans Saints and their 2022 season.

If fans of the team want to look at the glass as half full, they can find a silver lining in rookie receiver Chris Olave.

Olave, who the Saints got with the 11th overall pick in 2022, is showing out in New Orleans.

While he doesn’t have Drew Brees as his quarterback, he’s still posting incredible numbers for a rookie receiver.

Because of this, Pro Football Focus is taking notice of him.

So what are they saying about the rookie receiver and how he’s impacting the Saints in 2022?

PFF Has Olave Ranking Number One In Three Areas

According to PFF, rookie receiver Olave is the highest-graded rookie by their grading system.

He also has the most catches and receiving yards among all NFL rookies this season.

With him posting these numbers, PFF wonders if he’s “rookie WR1.”

While his quarterback is currently Andy Dalton, the Saints have also used two other quarterbacks this season.

However, the use of Taysom Hill isn’t as the starting quarterback, but as more of a situational passer.

But it still doesn’t subtract from how Olave is an enormous asset in New Orleans.

With 43 receptions from 72 targets, he’s catching nearly 60% of his targets.

These are solid numbers for a team whose other star receiver, Michael Thomas, is consistently injured.

With Thomas already out for the rest of 2022, Olave is filling his shoes impressively.

Because of this, he’s the silver lining for the Saints this season and for their future.
