Under Pete Carroll, the Seattle Seahawks have been the kind of organization that can pull players out of a hat and make them reliable contributors on both sides of the field.
Of course, they’ve also had their fair share of elite talent and high-ranked prospects, and this year won’t be the exception to that rule.
Obviously, expectations are high for No. 20 pick Jaxon Smith-Njigba as he enters his first season in the league.
However, another rookie wideout has caught Carroll’s eye, with Corbin K. Smith reporting that the HC has been in love with undrafted free agent Jake Bobo.

The former Duke Blue Devil and UCLA Bruin ranked 203rd among 310 wide receivers in athletic metrics, but that’s not the part of his game that has caught the team’s attention during OTAs.
Bobo has reportedly thrived in short and intermediate parts of the field, showcasing a steady pair of hands and some impressive route-running on slants and interior routes.
The team has reportedly been impressed with his coordination, and even if he’s not an impressive athlete, he’s a big wideout at 6-foot-4, so he’s a perennial mismatch on every route.
Bobo has a legit chance to be the fourth or fifth receiver once training camp is over.
And while he obviously will still rank behind Smith-Njigba, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett and might see limited snaps in his first season in the league, we’ve already seen UDFAs and late-round picks play their way up the depth chart and end up and become stars.
