Although the 2023 NFL season is still months away, there seems to be excitement surrounding the sport for the entire year.
As it stands, many teams are preparing for the combine and NFL Draft, while also navigating the new salary cap situation.
Recently, the Green Bay Packers restructured one of their player contracts, which freed up a large amount of cap space.
Field Yates of ESPN detailed the Packers’ compensation for Kenny Clark, which created over $11 million in cap space.

This move put the Packers $17 million under the salary cap, which was highlighted by Packers reporter Rob Demovsky.
While there are many questions surrounding the Packers heading into 2023, none are more pressing than the quarterback position.
Aaron Rodgers has yet to announce his decision for next year.
Whether he is playing for the Packers, retiring, or playing for another team remains to be seen.
However, what we do know now, is that Rodgers is set to make his decision soon.
His darkness retreat is over, and, at least due to the most recent reporting, his decision will be discussed on a podcast.
When this debacle is over, the Packers can finally decide on the way that the franchise is headed moving forward.
If the Packers do move on from Rodgers, it looks like Jordan Love will be the answer at quarterback.
Will the Packers finally take a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft?
It doesn’t appear likely, due to their track record.
However, if Love is to succeed, surrounding him with elite weapons will give him the best chance to do so.
