NFL Insider Shares Intriguing DJ Moore Stat For Bears Fans

After earning the top pick in this year’s NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears faced an interesting dilemma.

They had the option of using it to draft a quarterback such as CJ Stroud or Bryce Young or trade it in order to acquire more talent and support for QB1 Justin Fields.

On Friday, they choose the second option, as they acquired four draft picks and wide receiver DJ Moore from the Carolina Panthers.

Moore may not be a Pro Bowler, but he has been one of the league’s most productive wideouts, as he was the only player at his position to post at least 1,200 yards from scrimmage each season between 2019 and 2021.

Moore will give Fields the first bona fide threat at wide receiver he has had in his brief pro career.

The former Ohio State University standout completed just 60.4 percent of his passes this past season, and the season prior to that, he was even worse with a 58.9 percent completion rate.

Fields has also thrown a total of 21 interceptions over the last two years with an interception rate of 3.6 percent, and he led everyone with 16 fumbles in 2022.

Of course, the one thing he does very well is move the chains with his legs, and he did that to the tune of 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns this past season.

Some Bears fans feel that if Fields simply has one or two reliable wideouts, he will start to show what he displayed at Ohio State where he completed a stellar 70.2 percent of his pass attempts in his final season there.
