The Houston Texans need to find a new franchise quarterback.
After trading Deshaun Watson before last season, the Texans knew they were in the market for a new signal caller.
The best place to find a future star of the league is in the NFL Draft.
And the Texans have a premium pick to select a quarterback.
Houston has the second and 12th overall picks in the first round.
But all eyes are on what the Texans will decide to do at No. 2.
It has been said for a while that they will take a quarterback with that second pick.
But, many reports are starting to surface that may no longer be the case.
Ian Rapoport went on the Pat McAfee Show to discuss his thoughts on what the Texans will do.
Rapoport said, “I would be surprised if the Houston Texans don’t take the QB of their future at number two.”

At this point in draft season, many teams will be throwing out smoke screens to hide their true intentions.
Houston could be interested in trading back to acquire more picks if they are not sold on one of the quarterbacks.
But, even that seems like a stretch.
With the Carolina Panthers set to take a quarterback first overall, all eyes are on what the Texans will decide to do once they come on the clock.
