NFL Insider Gives Update On DeAndre Hopkins, Titans Visit

A handful of NFL teams are waiting to see where DeAndre Hopkins ends up signing a contract and hoping that it will be with them.

The five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver is a free agent after recently being released by the Arizona Cardinals, and he could be the missing piece for one lucky squad.

He recently met with the Tennessee Titans, and according to insider Jordan Schultz, the visit went well, although he will be meeting with other teams.

Next on his schedule will be a meeting with the New England Patriots, who, like the Titans, are in desperate need of a productive wideout.

Tennessee’s most productive player at that position last season was Robert Woods, who had just 527 yards and two touchdowns.

Woods is now a member of the Houston Texans.

Hopkins put up 717 yards and three touchdowns in 2022 despite playing in just nine games due to a suspension resulting from a violation of the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy.

As recently as 2020, he had 1,407 yards.

The Titans were hoping to make the playoffs last season, but they won just seven games amidst some poor play from veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Running back Derrick Henry remains their workhorse on offense, but they need to diversify their attack, especially with the immense depth across the AFC.

More firepower will be needed if they are to return to the playoffs, and Hopkins could be the man to provide that missing firepower.

Even at age 31, he remains one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL.
