The free agent market just got a whole lot more interesting.
Aaron Rodgers, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Derek Carr have been the three most-discussed quarterbacks throughout the free agency, but another name has entered into the mix.
Cam Newton has recently announced that he will be throwing at Auburn’s Pro Day to get back into the NFL.

Newton last appeared in the NFL in 2021, where he started five games for the Carolina Panthers.
While Newton had a prolific start to his career, his production has fallen off as of late.
It appears that he is eyeing a comeback after nearly two years of NFL inactivity.
After this news broke, many NFL fans reacted accordingly, with mixed responses.
im intrigued to see if his season off improved his game. I mean he wouldn’t be the first player to bounce back stronger than ever.

Some fans have wondered if taking some time off will serve Newton well, having the opportunity to bounce back and train for a new season.
While Newton might not find a spot as a starter, some fans have contended that he could serve as a valuable backup.
If Blain Gabbert, Matt Ryan, Chad Henne, Case Keenum, and Joe Flacco can still get an opportunity, the same should be extended to Cam Newton. Teams should make it clear, his role will be back-up QB.

Newton is an 11-year NFL veteran.
Although his recent performances might have left something to be desired, having a veteran backup can be vital to an organization.
Despite initial optimism, many fans are skeptical of Newton’s recent announcement.
“Please don’t.”

Some fans have wondered if Newton will be a distraction, especially for Auburn receivers at their Pro Day.
Newton has already had a fair shake in the league, something that these rookies haven’t gotten.
Dude couldn’t throw 2 years ago in NE, what makes him think he can now?
— Moniz (@mmoniz81) March 21, 2023
As this fan dictates, will Newton be able to throw efficiently, something he hasn’t been able to do as of late?
