The Carolina Panthers have continued to make headlines throughout the 2023 NFL offseason.
Their first major move was acquiring the number one overall NFL Draft pick from the Chicago Bears, surrendering many assets in the process.
Since this move, they have acquired many offensive pieces, including Miles Sanders and Adam Thielen.
While many have speculated that the Panthers will be taking a quarterback with the first overall pick, their general manager recently solidified that decision.
Scott Fitterer was recently asked his opinion on Lamar Jackson, to which he responded: “He’s a great option, a really expensive option.”
He also contended that the Panthers are focused on the upcoming draft class.

Another fan agreed, given the amount of capital that the Panthers surrendered for the first overall pick.

Whether another team makes a move for him certainly remains to be seen.
Despite many fans agreeing with Fitterer’s statements, others have been critical of their non-pursuit of Jackson.
