The Philadelphia Eagles are the defending NFC champions and therefore many people pick them to return to the Super Bowl next season.

It has left the San Francisco 49ers, the team they beat in the NFC Championship Game, flying a bit under the radar, but they could easily make it to the Super Bowl this winter.

In fact, analyst Adam Schein feels that San Francisco is the team to beat in the NFC as of now.

Schein pointed to quarterback Brock Purdy’s unexpected success once he took over for the injured Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins.

Purdy, who was the last player taken in the 2022 NFL Draft, did very well from then on, and if it weren’t for the torn ACL in his throwing elbow he suffered in the game for the NFC title, maybe the 49ers would have made it to the Super Bowl.

Schein also feels that a full offseason and training camp for star running back Christian McCaffrey will make the team’s offense that much better.

McCaffrey arrived in a midseason trade in October, launching an offense that had been mediocre and predictable up to that point.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is someone who has reportedly done well in OTAs and minicamp this offseason, and Schein said fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel is “going to have the season of his life” afterward. to see its production fall in 2022.

Perhaps all the 49ers need is good health to win their sixth Vince Lombardi Trophy next season.
