The Minnesota Vikings have made some tough decisions in the offseason, but they also brought in some elite talent.
New WR Jordan Addison should have a prominent role in their passing game right out of the gate, and the expectations are quite high for him.
Taken with the No. 23 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, he’ll have some big shoes to fill in Minneapolis.
Justin Jefferson was taken just one pick before him in the 2020 NFL Draft, and it didn’t take long before he made an impact and proved how special he could be.
Now, he could be his big brother on and off the gridiron, which is why Addison expressed how grateful he was for being taken by the Vikings, of all teams.
“It was just real special, I had the family there to support, and I just felt like I fell to the perfect organization,” Addison said, via NFL.com.

Jefferson is coming off torching the league for a career-high 129 receptions, 1,809 yards, eight touchdowns, and an average of 106.4 yards per contest — and that’s with Kirk Cousins throwing him the football.
Addison has reportedly been watching a lot of tape and keeping tabs on his star teammate to try and soak in as much information as he can.
He’ll be touted with the tough task of replacing Adam Thielen — now with the Carolina Panthers.
During his final season at USC, Addison hauled in 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight scores.
The Vikings are looking to get younger and cheaper while still contending for a spot in the postseason, and plenty of that will have to do with Addison’s ability to make the transition to the pros right out of the gate.
