The NFL has experienced increasing parity in recent years, as there have been five unique champions in the last six years.
While there are teams that tend to make the playoffs more than others, the league has become more competitive of late.
This is evidenced by a recent call from NFL Live, a show that airs on ESPN.
As they illustrate, there have been more than four new playoff teams over the past 33 seasons.
In this segment, Mina Kimes revealed her top four picks for potential new playoff teams.

Kimes singled out the New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions.
The Jets have the longest active playoff drought, spanning 12 seasons.
The addition of Aaron Rodgers to this team has raised spirits, bringing life to both the fans and the organization.
Kimes, along with many others, believes the quarterback position was the missing piece for the Jets, and that Rodgers will lead them to the promised land.
The Steelers will have their work cut out for them, given the strength of their division.
However, it has been said that Kenny Pickett made significant strides in the offseason.
If he’s able to put it together, Kimes’s prediction has a better chance of coming true.
The Lions had one of the strongest offenses in the league last season.
If they can figure things out on defense, they could get through an NFC North without Rodgers.
Of all the teams Kimes mentioned, the Falcons have the biggest question marks.
His quarterback position is up in the air, and his defense also struggled a lot last season.
Will this trend of more than four new playoff teams continue in 2023?
