The Seattle Mariners got off to a slightly rough start in 2023 after winning 90 games the previous season and reaching the postseason for the first time since 2001.
However, on Sunday, they won their fourth-straight game and reached the .500 mark.
At the center of their big win over the Colorado Rockies was starter Luis Castillo.
The right-hander was acquired at the trade deadline last season from the Cincinnati Reds.
On Sunday, Castillo pitched like his usual dominant self, throwing seven scoreless innings, while striking out nine batters, allowing just two hits, and not walking a batter.
On Twitter, MLB posted a graphic featuring the right-hander’s line from Sunday’s Mariners victory.

Castillo earned his second win of the season and lowered his ERA to 0.73 in the process.
All the Mariners needed was one run in the bottom of the sixth.
After Castillo’s exit, Justin Topa and Paul Sewald each pitched scoreless innings to help the Mariners secure a 1-0 win.
However, it was Castillo who was the story of the game.
The right-hander was simply unhittable on Sunday, and he carved his way through the Rockies lineup.
Castillo has yet to lose a game in 2023.
In four starts, he has logged a total of 24.2 innings and has struck out 26 batters.
He also has a WHIP of 0.61.
Last season, the 30-year-old went 8-6 in 25 starts and posted an ERA of 2.99.
The Mariners improved to 8-8 on the season and remained just 1.5 games back of the new-look Texas Rangers for first place in the American League West.
