Baltimore Ravens fans can finally rest assured that they have their franchise quarterback for years to come.
Lamar Jackson has officially signed his contract extension, putting an end to months-long drama on social media.
Notably, though, Jackson might be looking to do some damage control by stating that he never had a doubt that both parties would eventually reach an agreement.
Did Lamar Jackson ever think a deal wouldn’t work out?
“I thought we would get the process done. I didn’t have a doubt in my mind. They love me. I love being here. I love my teammates. I love the fanbase. I *really* love the fanbase. So, I didn’t have doubt really.”

Jackson praised the fanbase and claimed that he loves the city, the team, and his teammates, according to Sarah Ellison.
However, he admitted that he had publicly requested a trade.
Even so, Jackson has always had nothing but praise and words of respect for his fans.
In fact, he’s been so open about the whole process that some believed he was actually hurting his chances of getting a deal done by disclosing so many details about his late-season injury and why he was unable to play.
So, as much as he might be lying about his confidence in getting a deal done, he has shown plenty of love for Ravens Nation.
Also, the fans weren’t to blame for this situation, as they’ve been urging the team to pay him for months now.
The Ravens know that they need Jackson to compete at the highest level, and it became even more evident last season when he wasn’t available.
But he’ll have to pay that confidence back now that he finally secured his bag.
As long as he’s healthy, the Ravens will have a chance, even in the stacked AFC.
