If Justin Fields continues at the pace that he has been playing at for the past few games, the Chicago Bears have certainly found their quarterback of the future.

After starting slowly in the first few games of the season, Fields decided that enough was enough, and started to take matters into his own hands.

He is running more and has looked more confident and efficient when passing the ball as well.

Check out the highlights from this clip to see what we mean.

Is Fields Really On The Rise?

In his first five appearances in the 2022 NFL season, Fields looked bad.

He was only averaging 135.8 passing yards per game and was only attempting an average of 8.4 rushes per game.

Those 8.4 rushing attempts were only resulting in 38.8 rushing yards per game.

Let’s look at his last five games.

While Fields has improved his passing game (162 yards per game), his rushing numbers are truly something to admire.

In the last five games, he’s attempting 12.4 rushes per game, good for 111 yards per game.

The Bears coaching staff has shown a willingness to let Fields do what he needs to do to put themselves in the best possible position to win.

While the Bears are sporting a measly 3-7 record on the season, the rise of Fields is certainly one to keep your eyes on.

If the Bears can add additional pieces in the offseason, via the draft and free agency alike, the Bears could certainly be in line to be NFC North contenders in the 2023 NFL season.
