Former offensive lineman Joe Thomas is ripping the Indianapolis Colts over their hiring of Jeff Saturday.
While everyone has their thoughts about the hiring, it’s Thomas who’s being the most vocal about this hiring.
With Thomas giving an ear full, fans who don’t know about the story are wondering what he’s saying.
Joe Thomas Feels Hiring Jeff Saturday Was “Disrespectful”
Thomas completely unloaded on the Colts for hiring a former player with no NFL coaching experience.

He starts his three-minute rant with him calling the hiring of Saturday “disrespectful.”
While he feels this way because of his lack of coaching experience, it gets deeper as he continues his rant.
He also doesn’t hold Saturday blameless, as it seems he feels that Saturday should have turned down the job offer.
However, during his rant, he goes on about the level of commitment one needs to be a head coach.
But something Thomas has said in the past debunks his own rant.
Tweet From 2021 Debunks His Rant
While Thomas calls being an NFL head coach “life changing,” he also rants over a former player being picked as a head coach over other coaches.
However, this take differs from the one he had back last year.
How does that create a disadvantage? You’re assuming that a GM from a scouting background would have some type of knowledge that a Hall of Fame QB/player would not
You should tell that to the former players who became general managers: Ozzie Newsom, John Lynch, John Elway

Last year, he was defending the idea of Aaron Rodgers taking over the GM duties in Green Bay.
While Rodgers has zero experience doing any scouting of football talent, Thomas was all for him taking on the role.
Because of this, Thomas’ rant loses its value, as he criticizes Saturday for things he supported Rodgers with last year.
