It’s been two weeks since the Minnesota Vikings decided to part ways with four-time Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook, and the veteran running back has yet to find a new home in the NFL.
Ahead of Cook’s release, all signs pointed to him signing with the Miami Dolphins to form one of the most intimidating offenses in the NFL led by Tua Tagovailoa.
For whatever reason, that hasn’t happened, and now another AFC East heavyweight has been linked to the 27-year-old running back, with the New York Jets possibly taking a flyer on him before next season.
With the Jets loading up this NFL offseason by acquiring superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it would be a typical move for New York.
Rising star wide receiver Garrett Wilson was recently asked about the Cook rumors and said the following about the potential signing via ESPN Rich Cimini.

Wilson is all for the team bringing in Cook, and rightfully so, as it could instantly make the Jets a possible favorite to win the AFC East title over the Buffalo Bills and Dolphins.
The waiting game continues in the Cook sweepstakes with no telling where he might ultimately land, but New York is a very interesting and viable option for the veteran back if he’s serious about winning right away.
If the Jets’ interest in Cook is indeed genuine, it will be interesting to see if the Dolphins revisit potentially signing him in order to bolster their running game while also keeping him away from a division rival.
