Jalen Ramsey Posts Cryptic Tweet Amid Uncertain Future

The Los Angeles Rams had one of the worst title defenses in NFL history this season, going from winning it all to finishing with a 5-12 record and missing the playoffs.

Injuries were certainly a factor, and there seems to be some desire among the Rams to run it back and give it another try in 2023.

Head coach Sean McVay recently announced he would be back next season, ending speculation that he may step down, while star defensive tackle Aaron Donald also said that he, too, would be in uniform this fall.

Although he suffered an injury that kept him on the sidelines down the stretch, quarterback Matthew Stafford had his 2023 bonus option and 2024 salary picked up by the Rams.

But the big uncertainty has surrounded cornerback Jalen Ramsey and whether he will suit up for Los Angeles in 2023.

He posted a cryptic and interesting tweet about his future on Wednesday.

For the last several years, Ramsey has been one of the NFL’s very best defensive backs, and he has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last six seasons, as well as three All-Pro first teams.

In 2022, he posted 18 passes defended, four interceptions and four tackles for loss, although some of his advanced numbers went down a tick.

He allowed a 62.6 percent pass completion rate and an 84.5 passer rating when his opposite number was targeted, his worst such numbers since 2019.

The Rams’ defense was very poor at times this season, and they will certainly need Ramsey back if they will have any hopes of contending for another world title.
