As of April 11, Aaron Rodgers is still a member of the Green Bay Packers, despite Rodgers’ desire to play for the New York Jets.
The Jets and Packers have yet to come up with an equitable trade agreement, and this saga remains unresolved.
With the draft looming, many expect this deal to be done in the coming weeks.
In a recent segment of “Good Morning Football,” Scott Pioli commented on this situation, citing that the Packers currently hold the most leverage.
Who has the upper hand? The Packers, The Jets, OR Aaron Rodgers??@scottpioli51 weighs in pic.twitter.com/O60ByOr4hn

After saying that the Packers have the most leverage, Pioli states, “That happened when Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show.”
Later, Pioli also said, “He shifted everything in the hand of the Packers.”
The Packers have been relatively quiet during this tumultuous situation, but have contended that Jordan Love is their quarterback moving forward.
Being that the two sides haven’t reached a trade agreement, Pioli believes that the Packers could receive more in a trade than what has been previously communicated.
Many around the league believe that the Jets could give up at least one of their second-round picks, if not both.
However, while Pioli doesn’t necessarily say that the Packers could receive the Jets’ first-round pick, they might be in line for more compensation.
Rodgers has won four league MVP trophies and led the Packers to the playoffs in 13 different seasons.
With him at the helm for the Jets, they could finally break their 12-year playoff drought.
How much compensation will the Jets be willing to sacrifice to acquire a quarterback of Rodgers’ caliber?
