For many years, DirecTV was the only source for NFL Sunday Ticket, and for RedZone as well.

Recently, YouTube has reached an agreement with the NFL, and will now be the provider of these viewing services.

When this announcement was made, many fans were initially excited, as they would have a more accessible way to watch games.

In another announcement, YouTube has released what this service will cost, which has received mixed reviews.

As Ari Meirov highlights above, Sunday Ticket will cost $349 for current YouTube TV subscribers, but that cost jumps to $449 if a person is not subscribed to YouTube TV.

Many fans were astonished by this price and reacted accordingly.

As this fan highlighted via a Kermit the Frog meme, this price seems astronomical to them.

To compare this to DirecTV’s services, Sunday Ticket previously cost $293 for the full season, but it wasn’t readily available to non-subscribers.

While the cost is relatively similar between the two sources, many fans are upset, and exclaim that they will not partake in this year’s offering.

Despite early naysayers, there are fans out there that are excited about YouTube taking over, as this service is much more accessible to them.

While this price is expensive for many fans, it appears that the most die-hard NFL fans will be purchasing a subscription, no matter what the cost may be.
