The Houston Texans do not appear to be locked into using their second overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Reports are starting to surface that the Texans may look to trade back.
The Texans need to find a franchise quarterback.
Selecting second should give them a chance at one of Bryce Young or CJ Stroud.
Both look like very good quarterback prospects and could be franchise-changing talents.
Yet, the Texans must not feel that way if they are interested in moving the pick.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Texans will listen to all calls on the second pick.
#Texans GM Nick Caserio says at his pre-draft press conference that he’s received calls from teams looking to trade up to No. 2.
“Are we open for business? We’re open to listening.”

It is always wise to see what opposing teams might be willing to offer.
If someone is going to overpay to move up to number two, then the Texans might have to accept it.
Some fans think it would be a major mistake if the Texans traded back.
Some teams don’t ever deserve to win. This is one of them if they trade this pick and don’t take a QB

Since trading Deshaun Watson, the Texans have been looking for this replacement.
But, what the Texans should not do is take a quarterback if they are not sold on him.
It could only set their franchise back more if they take a quarterback who turns out to be a bust.
One set of fans who want to see their team trade up is that of the Minnesota Vikings.
Many are ready to move on from Kirk Cousins and want to spend a high pick on a QB.
Please tell me the Vikings are one of those teams and will be drafting Stroud.

It could be a situation where the Texans are only interested in one of the quarterbacks.
And if he goes first, then they will look to move back.
Sounds like they wanted Young but Young is about to be the Panthers pick
All they had to do was not convert to 4th and 20 https://t.co/eNws2OWIYR

With the draft set to begin on April 27, the trade rumors will continue to heat up until then.
