The Washington Commanders pulled off something amazing on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

A team that hasn’t done great this season had everything going their way against the Eagles.

Because of this, they gave the Eagles their first loss of the season.

However, it’s Ron Rivera’s post game locker room speech that is getting attention.

So what’s making his speech a trending topic online, and what are fans saying about it?

Fans React To Ron Rivera’s Emotional Speech

After the Washington Commanders won their game, Ron Rivera could only say one thing.

With him losing his mother recently, he simply told his team, “my mother would have been proud.”

After saying this, he left in tears, as he was emotional over both the victory and memories of his mother.

One fan points out how Rivera has been through so much during his coaching career.

Another applauds Terry McLaurin for stepping up after Rivera left the room.

However, some fans can only applaud Rivera for his leadership, but never the franchise that is the Washington Commanders.

While some dislike the owner of the Commanders, they still respect their head coach for everything he’s done.

Even fans of the Eagles have nothing but respect for him.

Even with him going through so much hurt, he helped lead his team to victory.

To him, the team is clearly part of his extended family.

With McLaurin ending the speech with everyone saying “family,” it proves how close the team is to Rivera.

While everyone can be mad at the team’s ownership, these same people have nothing but good things to say about their amazing head coach.
